This page explains how ITPro.Works is funded, and what that funding does and does not influence. The short version: nothing on this page changes what gets written, or how a product, vendor or technology is assessed.
The short version
- ITPro.Works is independently written and operated by one person.
- No vendor pays for coverage, placement or a favourable assessment.
- Commercial arrangements never determine what is written, or what conclusion an article reaches.
- Where a link or a mention is commercial, it is disclosed at the point you encounter it — not buried on this page.
How this site is funded
ITPro.Works is a one-person publication. Running it costs money — hosting, domain, security, tools and time. It is supported in the following ways.
1. Advertising
This site displays advertising served by third-party advertising networks, currently with Shopee
These ads are served automatically. I do not select individual advertisers, I do not know in advance what will appear, and the presence of an advertisement is not an endorsement of that advertiser, its product or its claims. An advertiser appearing here has no relationship with me and no influence over editorial content.
Advertising networks may use cookies to serve and measure ads. This is described in the Privacy Policy, and you can control personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings.
If an advertisement on this site is misleading, offensive or inappropriate, please tell me — I can block categories and individual advertisers.
2. Reader contributions
Readers can make a voluntary contribution through the Support page.
Contributions are voluntary donations toward running costs. They do not buy access to anything, do not create any entitlement, and do not influence coverage. Contributors receive no editorial consideration of any kind, and contributions are not solicited from vendors or organisations discussed on this site.
3. Affiliate links
Some articles contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, this site may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is the same either way.
How affiliate links are handled here:
- Every article containing affiliate links carries a visible disclosure at the top of that article, before the content, not only on this page.
- Affiliate relationships do not determine whether a product is covered, where it is placed in a list, or what is said about it.
- A product is not included because it has an affiliate programme, and is not excluded because it does not.
- Where a product has real limitations, those are stated regardless of any commercial relationship.
- Affiliate links are not added to articles retrospectively without updating the disclosure.
4. My professional work
I work professionally in enterprise HR technology. That work is separate from this site, but it is the source of most of the experience the site draws on, and it means I am a practitioner in the field rather than a detached observer.
Where I have a relevant interest in a subject under discussion, it is disclosed in the article. This is covered further in the Editorial Policy.
Sponsored content
Where content is sponsored, it is labelled clearly and unmistakably as sponsored at the top of the article, and it is never presented as independent editorial analysis. A sponsor cannot dictate the conclusions of, or appear within, independent editorial content.
Unsolicited paid link requests are declined. If you have emailed asking to insert a link, sponsor a post, or place a “partner” mention, this is why you did not receive a quote.
What commercial arrangements never affect
To state it plainly, because this is the part that matters:
- Whether a product, vendor or platform is written about
- Whether an assessment is positive, negative or mixed
- Where a product appears in a comparison or a list
- Whether a limitation, risk or failure mode is disclosed
- Whether a correction is published
If any of these were ever for sale, this site would be worth nothing to you, which is rather the point.
Vendor mentions are not endorsements
ITPro.Works writes extensively about SAP SuccessFactors, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP Integration Suite and other enterprise platforms.
This site is independent and is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by or sponsored by SAP SE or any other vendor discussed here. Product names are used for identification and commentary. A mention is not a recommendation unless it is explicitly described as one.
