Terms of Use

Effective date: 12/09/2026 Version: 1.0

These terms govern your use of itpro.works and everything on it — articles, tools, comments and member features. By using the site, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

ITPro.Works is an independent publication operated by Syed Mansoor Ali in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You can read about the publication on the About page and how personal data is handled in the Privacy Policy.

1. What this site is

ITPro.Works publishes technical and editorial material about HR technology, HRIS integration, enterprise architecture and related subjects. It is a publication, not a consulting service, a support channel, or a substitute for vendor documentation.

Reading this site does not create a consulting, advisory, employment or contractual relationship of any kind.

2. No professional advice

This is the most important clause on this page. Please read it.

The content here is general technical commentary published for an informed professional audience. It is not professional advice for your specific environment.

In particular:

  • It is not legal advice. Where articles discuss regulation — the EU AI Act, data protection law, employment law — that is technology commentary. Your own legal counsel determines what applies to your organisation.
  • It is not an implementation instruction. Integration designs, API patterns, configuration guidance and architectural recommendations are written generically. Enterprise landscapes differ, and a design that works well in one organisation may be actively harmful in another.
  • It is not a substitute for vendor documentation or vendor support. Product behaviour changes. Always verify against current official documentation before applying anything in a production system.

Do not apply anything from this site directly to a production environment without your own testing, review and change control. HR and payroll systems affect people’s pay, employment records and legal compliance. The consequences of an untested change are borne by you and your organisation, not by this site.

3. Accuracy and currency

Content is written carefully and checked against primary sources where possible, as described in the Editorial Policy. It can still be incomplete, wrong, or overtaken by product changes.

No warranty is given that content is accurate, current or fit for any particular purpose. If you find an error, please report it — corrections are made transparently.

4. Tools

ITPro.Works provides free technical utilities on the Tools page, including XML and XPath utilities, SuccessFactors reference lookups, payload generators and calculators.

These are provided as-is and without warranty. They are convenience utilities, not certified or supported software. Output should be verified before use. No guarantee is given that a tool is available, correct, or that it will continue to exist.

Do not enter confidential or personal data into these tools

This applies to you as a user, and it matters.

Do not paste real employee records, personal data, credentials, API keys, client-identifying information or any confidential material into any tool on this site. Use anonymised or synthetic data.

The tools on this site process data entirely within your own browser. Content you enter is not transmitted to, or stored on, this site’s servers.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of these tools complies with your employer’s policies and any confidentiality obligations you are under.

5. Intellectual property

This site’s content

Articles, diagrams, tables, frameworks and tool code on ITPro.Works are the property of Syed Mansoor Ali unless stated otherwise.

You may: quote short extracts for commentary, review, teaching or discussion, with clear attribution and a link to the original article. Share links freely.

You may not: republish articles in full, whether on a website, in a newsletter, in training material or in a client deliverable; use the content to train machine learning models without permission; or present the material as your own work.

If you want to reproduce something substantial, ask. Permission is often given.

Trademarks and third-party names

SAP, SuccessFactors, S/4HANA, SAP BTP and related marks are trademarks or registered trademarks of SAP SE or its affiliates. Other product, company and service names mentioned may be trademarks of their respective owners.

ITPro.Works is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, or sponsored by SAP SE or any other vendor discussed on this site. Product names are used for identification and commentary only.

6. Your comments and submissions

If you post a comment or send material intended for publication, you confirm that it is yours to share and does not breach anyone else’s rights or your own confidentiality obligations.

You keep ownership of what you write. You grant ITPro.Works a non-exclusive right to display, store and moderate it on this site.

Do not post confidential client information, employer-internal material, personal data about other people, or anything covered by an NDA. This is a public page and a professional audience reads it.

Comments may be edited, moderated, held for review or removed at my discretion — in particular spam, promotional posts, abuse, and anything that appears to disclose confidential information. Moderation is described further in the Editorial Policy.

7. Accounts

You may create an account to access member-only resources and tools. If you do:

  • Keep your sign-in credentials secure, and tell me promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
  • Do not share your account, or use it to redistribute member-only material.
  • Do not attempt to access restricted content by any route other than signing in.
  • One account per person.

Accounts may be suspended or closed where these terms are breached. You can close your own account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for how.

Member resources may change or be withdrawn. An account is free and gives no guarantee of continued access to any particular item.

8. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, its database or any account
  • Probe, scan or test the site’s security without written permission
  • Scrape or bulk-download content, or run automated requests at a rate that burdens the site
  • Introduce malicious code, or use the site to distribute it
  • Use the site to harass anyone, or to post unlawful material
  • Misrepresent yourself as affiliated with ITPro.Works

Access may be blocked where this clause is breached.

Responsible security disclosure is welcome. If you find a vulnerability on this site, please report it privately to ma*****@***ro.works before disclosing it publicly, and it will be dealt with promptly and gratefully.

9. Links to other sites

Articles link to external sources — vendor documentation, standards bodies, regulators, research. Those sites are not under my control, and linking to one is not an endorsement of its content, its owner or its privacy practices.

External links are chosen because they are useful to the reader. Where a link is commercial in nature, that is disclosed — see the Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure.

10. Advertising and funding

This site may display advertising and accepts voluntary reader contributions. How it is funded, and what that does and does not influence, is set out in full in the Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure.

Contributions made through the Support page are voluntary donations toward running costs. They are not a purchase, do not buy access to anything, and do not create any entitlement.

11. Availability

The site is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no uptime commitment. Content, tools and features may be changed, moved or withdrawn at any time without notice.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law:

The site and everything on it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its tools — including system downtime, data loss or corruption, integration failure, payroll or HR processing errors, regulatory consequences, lost profits, or business interruption, whether direct, indirect or consequential.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the version number and effective date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
